As it was a school holiday season, all children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram were taken for a holiday outing at the swimming pool of Bukit Beruntung Golf & Country Resort. Children spent a whole day enjoying themselves in the water with various games and water sports.

The young children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram were brought to the National Zoo for a holiday cum educational visitation. Children were exposed to various animal and their characteristics. It was a day well spent for the kiddos and they truly enjoyed their visit.

OUR ACTIVITIES
SRI SARADHA DEVI ASHRAM, MALAYSIA

1. Sri Saradha Devi Ashram Sports Carnival 

Date: 1 January 2017
Time: 2pm


This Sports Carnival was organised by Sri Saradha Devi Ashram in conjunction with new year celebration. Many interesting activities have been organised. The children were segregated into groups and each group was headed by a volunteer. Children were presented with gifts at the end of the program in order to appreciate their cooperation and teamwork in making this event a success.

2. “Alpha Mind Meditation” Class for Students

Date: 27 January 2017
Time: 4pm – 8pm


Alpha Mind Meditation Class for students was conducted for the adult children at Sri Saradha Devi Ashram and outsiders. The function of Alpha mind Meditation is to enhance the concentration of students and assist them in their studies.


3. Fundraising Night

Date: 25 February 2017
Time: 7.30pm


Fundraising Night programme was organised to collect fund for our association. The management committee of the association had invited Dr. Kader Ibrahim to present a talk on the benefits of laughter in our daily life.
4. “Fun @ The FunFair” Joyful Night

Date: 25 March 2017
Time: 8pm


The children from the association was brought to the funfair for them to enjoy themselves and was later treated a meal at McDonalds. This was all sponsored by one of our devotee, Mrs Selvi.


5. Monthly Birthday Celebration

Date: End of the Month


Monthly birthday celebration will be conducted for all children who have their birthdays in that month. The cake for the celebration will be prepared by the children at the association themselves.

6. Parents’ Day Celebration

Date: 4 June 2017
Time: 10am


Parents Day celebration was conducted at our association on 4 June 2017. Children was given the opportunity to portray their skills through role plays of specific spiritual characters.


Videos on parents and their sacrifices in bringing up children were shown and shared in order to make them more appreciative of their parents and the one who is nurturing them.


A few volunteers of the association were awarded the title of Best Parents as a recognition to their good efforts towards the association.

7. Navarathiri Festival

Date: 21 September – 2 October 2017
Time: 7.30pm


The Navarathiri festival was celebrated at Sri Saradha Devi Ashram together with all the devotees for 12 days to pray to Goddess for Her divine blessings.

8. Veenai Performance by God Children

Date: 23 September 2017
Time: 8.30pm


The veenai performance was presented by the children in conjunction with the Navarathiri prayers.


9. Magnum Deepavali Charity Programme

Date: 7 Oktober 2017
Time: 10am


Magnum Malaysia has organised a Deepavali Charity Programme for selected charitable association which also included Sri Saradha Devi Ashram. Various interesting activities were organised for the children and they were also given Angpau.

10. Deepavali Clothes Sponsorship

Date: 13 October 2017
Time: 8pm


Deepavali new clothes for the children at Sri Saradha Devi Ashram was sponsored by Mr Gunaraj and family.

11. Deepavali Charity Program by Batu Caves Tamil Welfare Organization

Date: 8 October 2017
Time: 8pm


Batu Caves Tamil Welfare Organization has organised a Deepavali Charity Programme for selected charitable association which also included Sri Saradha Devi Ashram. Various interesting activities were organised and children were also given new clothes for the festive season.

12. Spiritual Trip to Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Charity and Welfare Association, Melaka

Date: 21 October 2017
Time: 9.30am


Sri Saradha Devi Ashram had organised a spiritual trip to Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Charity and Welfare Association, Melaka. This trip was participated by all the children at our association together with a few volunteers.

13. Deepavali Celebration

Date: 22 October 2017
Time: 4pm


Deepavali celebration was organised at Sri Saradha Devi Ashram to share the happiness of the festive season with all the children. Various interesting activities such as Rangoli drawing, Dance Competition, Make-Up Your Partner Competition and etc. was conducted.

14. Free Eye and Medical Check-Up Camp

Date: 28 October 2017
Time: 9.30am


A Free Eye and Medical Check-Up Camp was organised at Sri Saradha Devi Ashram for all children at the association and the local people. This camp was conducted by doctor and volunteers from Adriel Eye Clinic.

15. Children Friendly Programme by Sri Saradha Devi Ashram and Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Charity and Welfare Association, Melaka at Pediatric Ward Hospital Sg.Buloh

Date: 12 November 2017
Time: 2.30pm




A trip to the Pediatric Ward Hospital Sg.Buloh was organised in conjunction with the celebration of a special event of our association and to share our happiness with the children at the ward. This trip was participated by all children from Sri Saradha Devi Ashram and Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Charity and Welfare Association, Melaka together with all the volunteers. The trip was made merrier with the presence of Micky and Minnie mascots. All children at the pediatric ward were given ‘goodie bag” one each.

Our Children
Persatuan Kabajikan Sri Saradha Devi Illam is a registered home with the Jabatan Kabajikan Masyarakat. It’s a home for 35 children (all girls). The children are orphans, single parents or from poor background, where the family finds it difficult to look after them. The children age range from 4 years to 18 years old. The children are schooling at Tadika Sinaran Bayu , SRJK (T) Rawang, SMK Sri Garing and SMK Batu 16. Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Saradha Devi Illam provides all assistance from food, clothes, school expenses, medical and all other needs free of charge.
